We arrived in Chile with our four children in 2003, eager to discover this beautiful country from north to south and back again. We travelled through the ninth region, where forests, lakes, rivers and volcanoes mingle beneath the Andes mountain range. There we discovered the Pucón area, and found this enchanting place that we now want to share with you. That is how our adventure began, and we gave it a name: Kari Mapu Park.

We wanted to offer a stay as close to nature as possible, respectful of this precious place and always mindful of combining setting with comfort. So we decided to build five houses, well spaced apart, on half of the property, leaving the other half to the preservation of the native forest, where we opened several walking trails: two through the forest and one along the Liucura River.

Our aim is for you to let yourselves be carried away by nature: contemplating it, admiring it, and learning from it.

Cabins

Our cabins are designed to make you feel truly at home.

Each cabin sits far enough from the others to give you the privacy a good stay deserves. The lay of the land, the trees and the surroundings all add to the feeling of peace and quiet. The decor is unique to each cabin and is kept up regularly for your comfort.

The cabins are fully equipped and heated with wood stoves.

The park

Across our nearly 5 hectares, you will love walking our trails: the forest trails, where the eye can hardly take in the giant trees, or the river trail, where the water shifts from green to blue through every shade of turquoise.

You'll also get to admire the many trees, flowers and birds you'll come across along the way. It's a place of peace and quiet where young and old alike will be amazed.

Sports and activities in and around Pucón

Kari Mapu Park is located near the resort town of Pucón, in the Araucanía Region, in south-central Chile, at the foot of the Villarrica volcano, the gateway to Chilean Patagonia. As in much of the country, nature reigns here: ancient araucaria forests, nature reserves, active volcanoes, springs, hot springs, rivers and lakes.
